Oakland Raiders in Minnesota Vikings - third quarter open thread

>> Thursday, November 24, 2011

Christopher gates on the 20 November 2011 1: 37 PM CST in the game of's threads

The Vikings have the first seven points this afternoon game, which is always nice.

Of course, since they have 24 open points have given up and looked really just terrible.

Pretty much every way the Vikings could have screwed up in the second quarter, she did it.

Bad interception by locks on a guy and throw into double coverage? Review.

For a field goal line and not even the kick get off? Review.

Fumbling a kick-off return to your own 20 yard line? Review.

Oh, and we are still not sure, just how bad, Adrian Peterson is ankle injury. At this point am I not even sure why you would bother put him back in the game. I mean, if he can go, he go, because he is Adrian Peterson and is just the way he is wired, but if he is not 100%, I see no reason for this at this point.

Christian ponder intercept outside the terrible actually has a pretty good ball game played. He is currently 9 / 11 67 meters, and he is currently also the Vikings of leading rusher with 54 yards on four carries most come because he exactly. 8 seconds to react before the defence on him was and he had that you'd get the heck out of Dodge.

Yet a whole half of the year to play football, ladies and gentlemen... f course, your mileage vary whether you see this as a positive or a negative.

Feel free to come, hang out with us, folks. If nothing else, the jokes should better from here on out.

AppId is over the quota AppId is over the quota   by Eric J. Thompson on Nov 14, 2011 9:10 PM CST in Game Threads

We'll keep this one short and sweet, because there isn't too much to highlight when it comes to the Vikings.

The Packers started the quarter with a Mason Crosby field goal. On the ensuing drive, Christian Ponder took a shot deep on a flea flicker that was easily picked off by Tramon Williams.

But then, something glorious happened. THE VIKINGS FORCED A PUNT! (Yes, we realize we're grasping at straws at this point.) The rest of the quarter was mostly blown opportunities, poor coverage, and stupid penalties by the Vikings. We'd explain further, but we just don't have the energy to do so without swearing profusely. But hey, Jared Allen and the defense looked much better in the second quarter! (Told you we were grasping at straws.)

A 17 point halftime deficit isn't insurmountable...just ask the Buccaneers and Lions earlier in the season in their games against the Vikings. Stick with us as we follow the third quarter action from Lambeau.
